Key Takeaways

JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — PT Astra Graphia Tbk (ASGR), the information technology and document solutions arm of the Astra International conglomerate, is stunning the market with a blockbuster dividend payout. In a move that defies its historical conservative stance, the company’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) on Wednesday approved a dividend payout ratio of 120% for the 2025 fiscal year.
The total dividend reaches Rp 325.05 billion ($20.4 million), or Rp 241 ($0.015) per share. This aggressive return of capital is funded by the company's 2025 net profit of Rp 270.61 billion ($17 million), bolstered by an additional Rp 54.43 billion ($3.4 million) drawn from retained earnings.
ASGR’s decision to distribute more than its total annual profit marks a definitive shift toward rewarding shareholders in a tightening market. By doubling its typical payout ratio, the company is positioning itself as a premier yield play within Indonesia’s technology sector. This move suggests management is highly confident in its cash flow stability following a successful transformation from hardware sales to high-margin IT professional services.
Strategic Balance and Growth
Despite the high payout, management insists the company is not sacrificing its future. "We constantly strive to have a dividend payment policy based on a balance of returns for shareholders and also for the future growth of Astragraphia," ASGR President Director Hendrix Pramana stated during a public expose at Menara Astra on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
The firm already distributed an interim dividend of Rp 30 per share in 2025. The remaining Rp 211 per share—totaling Rp 284.59 billion ($17.9 million)—will be paid out on May 13, 2026, to shareholders of record as of April 27.
Operational Excellence Drives Profit Surge
The massive dividend is backed by strong fundamentals. ASGR reported a 32% year-on-year surge in net profit for 2025, while net revenue grew 6% to approximately Rp 2.99 trillion ($188 million). The growth was largely fueled by the IT solutions segment, which has successfully pivoted toward professional services.
Financial Director Trivena Nalsalita credited the performance to a 12% rise in consolidated gross profit and a relentless focus on "operational excellence." Nalsalita highlighted that digitalizing business processes and optimizing cash flow management were the primary engines behind the company's enhanced profitability.
As ASGR continues to evolve beyond its traditional roots in printing and document management, its ability to generate excess cash through digital innovation remains its strongest selling point. The 120% payout serves as a loud signal to the market: Astra Graphia is no longer just a hardware provider, but a cash-generating IT services powerhouse.
