JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — PT Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk or SRAJ moves to scale up Mayapada Hospital Jakarta Selatan on Saturday, Dec 20, 2025 in Jakarta by partnering with a Chinese construction giant to develop a new tower designed to become Indonesia’s largest private hospital, a project aimed at elevating medical services to international standards.
The listed healthcare operator, part of Mayapada Healthcare Group, signed a memorandum of understanding with China State Construction Engineering Corporation to build Tower 3 at the South Jakarta hospital complex. The agreement was signed by President Commissioner Jonathan Tahir, CSCEC Shenzhen Headquarters Deputy General Manager Tina He, and CSCEC Division 4 International General Manager Bai Jinsong.
President Director and Chief Executive Navin Sonthalia said the selection of CSCEC reflected Mayapada’s strategy of working with global partners that have extensive experience in complex healthcare infrastructure.
“Hospital infrastructure plays a critical role in creating a patient experience that is safe, comfortable, and aligned with global standards,” Navin said in a statement on Saturday. “Through this collaboration, we are ensuring that MHJS Tower 3 is built with international standards, modern technology, and a strong emphasis on efficiency and long-term sustainability.”
Tower 3 is being positioned as a next-generation medical facility to meet rising demand for advanced healthcare services. The project will be developed on a 26,917 square meter site, with a total gross floor area of 110,209 square meters across 24 floors and four basement levels.
Once completed, the new tower is expected to anchor Mayapada’s most advanced clinical offerings. The facility is designed to house nuclear medicine based cancer treatment, non-invasive brain tumor surgery, minimally invasive cardiac care, robotic orthopedic surgery, and integrated medical rehabilitation services.
Through its partnership with Apollo Hospitals India, Mayapada Healthcare said the facility would also function as a center for knowledge transfer and physician training. The collaboration is intended to strengthen specialist capabilities and support the development of centers of excellence within the hospital network.
Chief Project and Facility Officer Charlie Salim said the agreement built on an existing working relationship with CSCEC. “This collaboration follows our earlier project with CSCEC on the automated vertical parking building at Mayapada Hospital Surabaya,” Charlie said. “CSCEC’s global experience is a crucial foundation in ensuring consistent and reliable construction standards across Mayapada Healthcare facilities.”
CSCEC is widely known for delivering large-scale and technically demanding projects, including hospitals with capacities of up to 2,000 beds in Cambodia, Laos, and China. The contractor has also been involved in major developments across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, including high-rise projects in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and China, as well as several strategic infrastructure projects in Indonesia.
Tina He said CSCEC was committed to supporting Indonesia’s healthcare infrastructure expansion. “Through this collaboration, CSCEC is committed to delivering world-class construction standards and making MHJS Tower 3 a hospital building that is modern, safe, and sustainable,” she said. “We also aim to contribute to the broader development of Indonesia’s healthcare ecosystem.”
Mayapada Healthcare said Tower 3 is targeted to begin operations in the second half of 2027, reinforcing the group’s ambition to position Mayapada Hospital Jakarta Selatan as a flagship private healthcare facility at the national level.
