JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka departs for Johannesburg on Friday, Nov 21, 2025 from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in Jakarta to carry out President Prabowo Subianto’s mandate at the G20 Summit in South Africa. He represents Indonesia at the two day meeting and presents the country’s stance on key global issues.
The Office of the Vice President said Gibran took off at around 09.30 local time for the nearly eleven hour flight to Johannesburg.
His attendance underscored President Prabowo’s commitment to active participation in global economic recovery efforts and deeper international cooperation.
After a flight of about 10 hours 50 minutes, Gibran and a limited delegation were scheduled to land at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg.
The G20 Summit in South Africa will take place at the Johannesburg Expo Centre on Nov 22 and Nov 23, 2025, bringing together leaders from major economies to address priority global issues.
During the summit, he will deliver a speech on behalf of President Prabowo outlining Indonesia’s views on global cooperation, economic stability, and shared development.
