JAKARTA, investortrust.id – Indonesian business magnate Aburizal Bakrie and his eldest son Anindya Bakrie, who serves as Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, attended the 2025 Idulfitri open house hosted by President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta on Monday, March 31.
The event, known locally as gelar griya, marks the celebration of Idulfitri, the Muslim holiday commemorating the end of Ramadan. President Prabowo welcomed a wide range of guests, including business leaders, political figures, and thousands of citizens from diverse backgrounds, including farmers, fishermen, ride-hailing drivers, and people with disabilities.
In a photo obtained by investortrust.id, Aburizal Bakrie, also known as Ical, is seen wearing a traditional white baju koko, while Anindya Bakrie dons a batik shirt. President Prabowo, dressed in traditional Betawi attire, stands between them, all smiling warmly for the camera.
Also in attendance were former Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and former Vice President Jusuf Kalla, reflecting the political significance of the occasion. Jusuf Kalla was accompanied by his wife, Mufidah Jusuf Kalla, and was welcomed by current Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Meanwhile, Yudhoyono arrived with his son, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono, who currently serves as Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development.
Earlier in the day, President Prabowo met privately with government ministers, foreign ambassadors, and other dignitaries inside the Credential Room of the palace before making his way to the courtyard to greet the public.
Wearing a golden baju muslim and black cap, Prabowo shook hands with hundreds of citizens who had queued since the early morning. The president also engaged warmly with children, placing his forehead to theirs and kissing them affectionately—a gesture that drew applause and smiles from the crowd.
Visitors eagerly captured the moment on their smartphones, underscoring the significance of the occasion as one of unity and open engagement between the country’s leadership and its people.
