JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — President Prabowo Subianto has appointed Dony Oskaria as Acting Minister of State-Owned Enterprises on Wednesday, Sept 17, 2025, following the reassignment of Erick Thohir to lead the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The decision ensures uninterrupted operations at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises during the ongoing cabinet reshuffle.
The appointment was formalized under Presidential Decree No. 96/P of 2025 on the dismissal and appointment of ministers and deputy ministers in the Merah Putih Cabinet for the 2024–2029 term. The decree was signed by Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and announced in a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Friday, Sept 19, 2025.
Prasetyo said the president’s decision mandates Dony to carry out all responsibilities of the minister until a definitive replacement is confirmed. “With the president’s approval, the Acting Minister of SOEs is Deputy Minister Dony Oskaria,” he stated, stressing that the move secures policy continuity and smooth execution of state-owned enterprise reforms.

Dony currently serves as Deputy Minister of State-Owned Enterprises and Chief Operating Officer of Danantara Indonesia, a government-backed investment management company overseeing strategic programs such as Patriot Bonds and rural cooperatives. Prasetyo highlighted that Dony’s dual roles in government and corporate leadership position him to accelerate restructuring within Indonesia’s vast state-owned enterprise portfolio.
The appointment letter was also copied to the president, vice president, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, and the other two deputy ministers of SOEs, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo and Aminuddin Ma’ruf, underscoring the importance of coordination at the cabinet level.
Prasetyo acknowledged that the Palace has not yet set a time frame for how long Dony will serve as Acting Minister. “We do not know yet how long he will hold the role,” he told reporters. Nevertheless, the government expects Dony to maintain momentum in reform initiatives while ensuring stability across state-owned enterprises, which account for a significant portion of Indonesia’s economy.
