BANDUNG BARAT, Investortrust.id — President Prabowo Subianto has appointed General Tandyo Budi Revita as Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) during a ceremonial military parade and honor ceremony in West Bandung Regency, West Java, on Sunday, Aug 10, 2025.
The announcement, made during the parade, referred to Tandyo Budi as a 1991 graduate of the Indonesian Military Academy and the current Deputy Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army. President Prabowo personally pinned a star insignia on the newly appointed deputy commander.
The event began at 9 a.m. and was attended by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and several ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet.
In the same ceremony, Prabowo also inaugurated six newly established regional military commands (Kodam) and installed their commanders. The six new Kodam are Kodam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai, covering Riau and Riau Islands; Kodam XX/Tuanku Imam Bonjol, covering West Sumatra and Jambi; Kodam XXI/Radin Inten, covering Lampung and Bengkulu; Kodam XXII/Tambun Bungai, covering Central and South Kalimantan; Kodam XXIII/Palaka Wira, covering Central and West Sulawesi; and Kodam XXIV/Mandala Trikora, headquartered in Merauke, South Papua.
The ceremony also saw the inauguration of several other TNI units, including commands in the Navy and Air Force, an Air Operations Command, a Kopassus Group, a Territorial Development Infantry Brigade, Territorial Development Infantry Battalions, a Marine Infantry Battalion, and a Kopasgat Commando Battalion.
