Visiting Delhi's Legendary Bookstore, Kadin Chair Anindya Highlights Indonesia's Printing Industry
NEW DELHI, investortrust.id – After attending the India-Indonesia CEO Forum and accompanying President Prabowo Subianto as the chief guest at India’s 76th Republic Day celebration, Anindya Bakrie, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), took time to visit a legendary bookstore in Delhi.
Anindya stopped by Bahrisons Booksellers in the bustling Khan Market, one of New Delhi’s most popular shopping areas.
“Before leaving Delhi, we stopped at Bahrisons, a favorite of President Prabowo. We wanted to explore and buy interesting books about India,” Anindya said on Tuesday, Jan 28, 2025.
During his visit, Anindya also commented on India’s advanced printing industry, highlighting a unique regulation requiring all books entering the country to be printed locally.
“For printing, it must be done in India. The intellectual property can be from abroad, but this makes prices affordable and sustains the paper industry,” he explained. According to him, this policy has significantly bolstered India’s printing sector.
