AHY Calls for Investigation into Building Use Rights Certificate for Tangerang Sea Wall
JAKARTA, Investortrust.id – Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono has revealed that the building use rights certificate for the sea wall area in the waters of Tangerang has existed since 2023. The information, according to AHY, was provided by Nusron Wahid, the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning and Head of the National Land Agency.
“We obtained this initial data in 2023. I also received a direct explanation from Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning, Mr. Nusron Wahid,” Agus stated during a press conference at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.
Timeline and Oversight Concerns
Agus clarified that he was unaware of the certificate's issuance, as it predated his tenure as Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development, a role he assumed in 2024.
“I don’t know, I don’t know, and of course, this happened before I took office in 2024,” AHY explained.
Despite the circumstances, Agus emphasized the importance of thoroughly evaluating the certificate's legality and procedural integrity. If any violations or discrepancies are discovered, such as procedural or legal defects, he asserted that the certificate must be immediately reviewed and potentially revoked.
“If it turns out that there are discrepancies, whether procedural or material, especially if there are legal defects, it must be immediately evaluated and even revoked, whether it is Right of Ownership or a building use rights certificate,” he explained.
Ongoing Investigation
Agus confirmed that the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development is actively investigating the certificate’s issuance. The investigation aims to uncover detailed information and the chronology behind the certificate's approval.
“This is under investigation, under investigation, and of course, we want to know the details of the issue and its chronology,” Agus said.
