JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono says 82,000 Red White Cooperatives are set to receive up to Rp 240 trillion in financing from state-owned banks, marking a major milestone in the government’s drive to strengthen rural economies and ensure stable distribution of essential goods.
Ferry explained that the loans will be distributed under Finance Ministry Regulation Number 49 of 2025 on the procedure for lending to Red White Village and Ward Cooperatives. He said each cooperative will receive around Rp 3 billion, bringing the total to roughly Rp 240 trillion.
“This disbursement follows the green light from BPI Danantara to Himbara, the state-owned banking association, to extend financing to the cooperatives,” Ferry said during a meeting with national media leaders in Jakarta on Friday, quoting from an official statement released on Saturday, Oct 25, 2025.
He added that the regulation serves as the legal basis for the state sovereign fund to authorize Himbara’s credit channels to cooperatives nationwide. In parallel, the government has also issued Presidential Instruction Number 17 of 2025, mandating the accelerated construction of physical cooperative infrastructure such as warehouses, retail outlets, and logistical facilities.
“After the issuance of this instruction, we will issue contracts to Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, a state-owned enterprise appointed by the President to execute the development of warehouses, outlets, and other supporting facilities,” Ferry said.
Ferry noted that Agrinas Pangan Nusantara had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indonesian National Armed Forces to support faster construction across the country. “The President believes that involving the military will ensure more predictable timelines and lower overall costs,” he said.
The minister revealed that the government aims for 80,000 Red White Cooperatives to become fully operational with complete physical facilities by March 2026. To meet that target, daily land mapping and data collection are underway, covering between 1,500 and 2,000 village sites per day.
He added that the Ministry of Home Affairs is also playing a key role. “On Monday, I will accompany Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian in a meeting with all provincial secretaries in Jatinangor, Bandung, to coordinate local implementation,” Ferry said.
He emphasized that Red White Cooperatives would act as distributors of essential goods, offtakers for local producers, and operational arms for central government programs, including social assistance distribution.
“The main function of these cooperatives is to supply goods at affordable prices, absorb community production—whether food crops, horticulture, plantations, crafts, culinary products, or fishery—and carry out national programs at the village level,” Ferry concluded.
