Jakarta Stocks Open at Record High of 8,065 as Technology and Materials Lead Gains

JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Indonesia’s benchmark Jakarta Composite Index has opened higher at a new record of 8,065 on Thursday, Sept 18, 2025, climbing 40.56 points or 0.51 percent as all major sectors post early gains. The rally reflects continued momentum from the previous day’s record close.
The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), or Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), reported that technology stocks lead with a 2.63 percent jump, followed by basic materials up 0.84 percent, infrastructure up 0.58 percent, financials up 0.42 percent, and primary consumer goods rising 0.53 percent. Other sectors also advance in early trading.
Among individual movers, PT Citra Putra Realty Tbk, or CLAY, surged 23.12 percent to Rp 2,450, PT Wahana Inti Makmur Tbk, or NASI, gained 17.19 percent to Rp 150, and PT Berkah Prima Perkasa Tbk, or BLUE, rose 17.76 percent to Rp 635. PT Multipolar Technology Tbk, or MLPT, also extended its climb to another all-time high.
On Wednesday, Sept 17, 2025, the index closed at an all-time high of 8,025, up 67.48 points or 0.85 percent. Foreign investors, however, recorded net selling worth Rp 151.35 billion, concentrated in shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, or BBCA, at Rp 566.29 billion, PT Bank Mandiri Tbk, or BMRI, at Rp 269.47 billion, and PT Aneka Tambang Tbk, or ANTM, at Rp 174.28 billion.
The previous session’s gains were broad-based, with the industrial sector up 2.83 percent, technology 2.47 percent, non-primary consumer goods 1.01 percent, healthcare 1.05 percent, energy 0.72 percent, infrastructure 0.65 percent, and financials 0.83 percent.
Stocks with the strongest moves on Wednesday included NASI up 34.74 percent to Rp 128, PT Koka Indonesia Tbk, or KOKA, up 34.31 percent to Rp 137, PT Tiga Pilar Sejahtera Food Tbk, or AISA, up 34.71 percent to Rp 163, CLAY up 25 percent to Rp 2,000, PT Kencana Energi Lestari Tbk, or KJEN, up 25 percent to Rp 270, BLUE up 24.42 percent to Rp 535, MLPT up 19.99 percent to Rp 131,025, PT Koka Indonesia Tbk, or KOCI, up 31.25 percent to Rp 84, and PT Buyung Poetra Sembada Tbk, or HOKI, up 33.33 percent to Rp 104.
