JAKARTA, investortrust.id — PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (CLEO), one of Indonesia’s largest bottled water producers, booked a net profit of Rp 116.5 billion ($7.2 million) in the first quarter of 2025, up 3.27% year-on-year, supported by higher sales volume and broader national distribution.
According to CLEO’s President Director Melisa Patricia, the company’s strong performance marked a resilient start to the year despite a competitive landscape. “This achievement reflects our success in sustaining growth through well-calibrated long-term strategies,” she said on Tuesday, July 1, 2025.
Sales revenue climbed 7% from the previous year to Rp 668.9 billion ($41.3 million), driven primarily by rising demand in the bottled segment, which grew 8.7% year-on-year. Meanwhile, CLEO's non-bottled product segment also expanded by 2.6%, benefiting from improved distribution coverage and increasing consumer demand across Indonesia.
Expanding Plant Network and Distribution
Melisa emphasized that CLEO’s growth strategy hinges on expanding its production and distribution infrastructure nationwide. “By enhancing our presence in strategic locations, we ensure product availability, maintain freshness, and reduce logistics costs,” she explained.
The company currently operates 32 active plants—the largest network of any bottled water (air minum dalam kemasan or AMDK) producer in Indonesia. It is building three additional plants in Pekanbaru, Palu, and Pontianak, targeted for completion within 2025.
Backed by thousands of distribution partners, CLEO’s extensive logistics network allows it to respond swiftly to demand surges while optimizing operational costs. This network has been instrumental in maintaining product quality and improving service coverage throughout the archipelago.
Competing in a Saturated Market
Indonesia’s AMDK industry has grown increasingly competitive, but CLEO remains confident in its ability to lead the market through continuous innovation and operational efficiency. “We are grateful that CLEO continues to grow solidly amidst a dynamic industry landscape,” said Melisa. “Our focus on pure water products, national production expansion, and operational efficiency has proven sustainable.”
She added that the company’s nationwide expansion strategy continues to deliver results, enabling CLEO to fulfill consumer needs consistently. The company’s approach integrates plant construction with distribution network scaling to serve regions more efficiently.
As competition intensifies, CLEO's scale and strategic positioning offer a distinct advantage, reinforcing its commitment to deliver high-quality water products across Indonesia.
“We will continue to innovate and expand our reach so that CLEO remains the top choice for Indonesian consumers who prioritize health and quality,” Melisa concluded.
