Healthcare Dominates Pipeline as Seven Firms Line Up for Indonesia Stock Listings
Key Takeaways
|
JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — The Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) has seven prospective issuers advancing through its initial public offering review pipeline as of Oct. 2, 2026, with the healthcare sector dominating the prospective roster.
The queue follows a subdued run for primary equity mobilization. According to official bourse data, seven companies have successfully floated shares on the Jakarta exchange year-to-date through Oct. 2, generating a combined total of Rp 2.16 trillion ($135.8 million) in fresh capital.
The concentration of healthcare issuers in Jakarta’s listing pipeline highlights defensive sector resilience at a time when primary equity markets remain quiet. With major infrastructure, consumer, and financial issuers deferring public flotations amid volatile global sentiment, mid-sized healthcare operators are stepping forward to capture specialized domestic institutional capital and fund clinical network expansions.
Healthcare Dominates Pipeline Allocation
From a sectoral standpoint, healthcare is the primary contributor to the exchange's forward pipeline, comprising four of the seven candidate listings.
The remaining candidates are split across the energy and industrials segments, with energy contributing two prospective issuers and industrials accounting for one company.
Conversely, eight major market sectors currently register zero pipeline candidates: basic materials, consumer cyclicals, consumer non-cyclicals, financials, infrastructures, properties and real estate, technology, and transportation and logistics.
Asset Scale and Distribution
Under the Financial Services Authority asset classification guidelines outlined in POJK No. 53/POJK.04/2017, the prospective debutants span across small-, mid-, and large-cap categories:
Two companies qualify as small-scale enterprises, holding total assets below Rp 50 billion ($3.14 million). Three entities fit the medium-scale bracket, commanding asset bases between Rp 50 billion and Rp 250 billion ($15.7 million).
The final two prospective issuers are categorized as large-scale corporations, each commanding assets exceeding the Rp 250 billion threshold.
