JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs has lifted the temporary suspension of TikTok’s registration status after the social media platform fulfilled its obligation to provide traffic and monetization data requested by the government.
Director General for Digital Space Oversight Alexander Sabar said on Saturday, Oct 4, 2025, that TikTok had officially submitted the data on Oct 3, covering user traffic escalation and monetization activities on TikTok Live during the August 25–30, 2025, period.
“The company has delivered the requested data related to the surge in traffic and TikTok Live monetization activities through an official letter dated Oct 3, 2025,” Alexander said in a written statement.
He added that the data included daily summaries of traffic increases, total monetization amounts, and aggregated indications of potential violations. After a comprehensive review, the ministry concluded that TikTok had met its reporting obligations.
“Based on the fulfillment of these obligations, the ministry has officially lifted the temporary suspension and reinstated TikTok’s status as a registered Electronic System Provider,” he said.
Following the reinstatement, TikTok users in Indonesia can continue using the platform as usual. The ministry assured the public that it remains committed to maintaining a digital environment that is safe, transparent, and accountable.
“This step reaffirms our commitment to enforcing regulations and building a trusted digital ecosystem,” Alexander said. He reminded all private Electronic System Providers operating in Indonesia to comply with national laws to ensure the sustainability of the country’s digital space.
He added that the ministry will continue to monitor and engage with digital platforms to ensure compliance and maintain a healthy and secure online ecosystem for all users.
