BUMI Director Dileep Srivastava Passes Away
JAKARTA, investortrust.id – Dileep Srivastava, Independent Director and Corporate Secretary of Indonesian laregest coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk, has passed away. According to reports circulating among media professionals on social media, he passed away on Saturday morning, Feb 8, 2025, at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, India.
In an official statement, the company confirmed that his cremation would take place the same day at Green Park Crematorium in New Delhi. As of the time of reporting, the cause of death remains unknown.

The cremation ceremony will be held this afternoon in New Delhi," stated the official release received by Investortrust.id.
A Long-Standing Career in the Bakrie Group
Srivastava joined Bakrie & Brothers Tbk, the parent company of Bumi Resources, in 1997. Over the years, he held various leadership roles within the Bakrie Group.
From 2008 to 2010, he served as a Director of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR). Before that, he was a Director at PT Trans-Bakrie from 1998 to 2004 and Vice President for Investor Relations, Business Development, and Strategic Planning at PT Bakrie & Brothers Holding—including PT Bakrie Telecom Tbk—between 2004 and 2006.
Prior to his tenure with the Bakrie Group, Srivastava was Chief Executive Officer of PT Kalindo Deka Griya from 1995 to 1997, during which the company owned Menara Kadin Indonesia. Earlier in his career, he led the New Delhi office of Bennett & Coleman, the publisher of The Times of India.
Since 2007, Srivastava had served as Corporate Secretary of Bumi Resources and, since 2021, had been a member of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee.
