JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — PT Eagle High Plantations Tbk or BWPT overhauls its board of commissioners on Wednesday, Jan 7, 2026 in Jakarta and approves an expansion of business activities to strengthen corporate governance and ensure long term sustainability, a move expected to enhance strategic flexibility amid industry shifts.
The extraordinary general meeting of shareholders approved changes to the composition of the board of commissioners, while the company’s board of directors remained unchanged.
The resolutions were framed as a strategic step to reinforce governance standards and position the company for sustainable growth as industry dynamics evolved.
The decisions also reflected continued backing from the company’s major shareholders, Rajawali Capital International and Malaysia based FIC Properties Sdn. Bhd., for BWPT’s long term strategic direction.
Under the approved resolution, the new board of commissioners will serve until the annual general meeting of shareholders in 2030.
The updated board comprises Abed Nego as President Commissioner, Ahmad Nizam bin Hamid as Vice President Commissioner, Mohammad Prianto Madelar and Razuwan bin Che Rose as Commissioners, and Yohanes Wahyu Saronto and Erwin Soejono as Independent Commissioners.
The board of directors remains led by President Director Henderi Djunaidi, supported by directors Andrew Haryono, Yeoh Lean Khai, and Choong Kam Loong.
At the same meeting, shareholders also approved amendments to the company’s articles of association to align with prevailing regulations.
The amendments included the addition of business activities covering holding company functions and management consulting services, without altering BWPT’s core plantation operations.
Corporate Secretary Rizka Dewi said the resolutions provided a critical foundation for strengthening governance and ensuring business sustainability.
“Through the decisions taken at this extraordinary meeting and the continued support of shareholders, the company is optimistic it can further strengthen good corporate governance practices, enhance competitiveness, and operate sustainably to create long term value for all stakeholders,” Rizka said in a written statement on Wednesday.
