The visit linked Prabowo’s policy direction with on the ground economic activity at the future capital.
Gibran said the market was expected to become a driver of local commerce in line with Prabowo’s instruction.
"Following President Prabowo Subianto’s direction that Nusantara’s development must move the people’s economy, the presence of the KIPP market is expected to drive local economic activity, provide proper business space for micro and small enterprises, and meet the daily needs of the community," Gibran said in a written statement.
He added that the market’s layout was designed to ensure hygiene and comfort for traders and visitors.
"The zoning of wet stalls is arranged functionally, from cleaning areas to sales areas, to ensure hygiene standards are met and circulation remains orderly," he said.
During the same visit, Gibran reviewed education facilities and the construction progress of Taruna Nusantara Senior High School, emphasizing quality and timely completion.
