JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Archi Indonesia, the gold mining company controlled by tycoon Peter Sondakh’s Rajawali Corpora, has projected a tenfold increase in net profit in 2025, with expectations surpassing $100 million. The surge is driven by rising output and record-high global gold prices, positioning the company to consider dividend payouts for the first time in years.
Archi Indonesia Tbk (ARCI) reported net profit of $10.45 million in 2024. In the first half of 2025 alone, profit reached $35.27 million, reversing a $3.96 million loss a year earlier. Revenue rose to $192.55 million, compared with $142.85 million in the same period of 2024.
President Director Rudy Suhendra said on Wednesday, Sept 3, 2025, that full-year profit is expected to grow more than tenfold as gold output rises by 40% in the second half to 70,000 ounces, supported by average selling prices above $3,500 per ounce.
“Higher production volumes alongside stronger gold prices will allow our net profit to rise eight to ten times compared with last year,” Rudy said. He estimated second-half profit alone could exceed $50 million if gold prices remain stable or continue to climb.
The company may distribute dividends for fiscal year 2026, depending on shareholder approval. “The decision will rest with the general meeting of shareholders, whether to allocate earnings as dividends or retain them for expansion,” Rudy said.
New Pits in 2026
Archi expects further growth in 2026 from new underground operations at Pit Kopra, Pit Maruwuwung, and Pit Araren 8. Current production is supplied by Pit Araren 7 and Pit Toka Tindung, part of the eastern corridor with proven reserves of 5.8 million ounces of gold.
Through subsidiary PT Tambang Tondano Nunsajaya (TTN), Archi signed a Rp 350 billion contract with PT Macmahon Indonesia for the development of Pit Kopra. The 34-month agreement covers tunneling, blasting, material handling, and mine support services, which management said will improve efficiency and long-term output.
Rudy added that Archi has only explored 15% of its total concession area, leaving 85% still untapped. The company will continue exploration to expand reserves.
Stock Rally Outpaces Peers
Archi shares have soared 262% this year, closing at Rp 900 on Wednesday, up from Rp 248 at the end of 2024. Market capitalization has surged from Rp 6.15 trillion to Rp 22.35 trillion.
The rally outstripped sector peers: J Resources Asia Pasifik (PSAB) rose 156.3% year-to-date, Aneka Tambang (ANTM) gained 137.5%, Merdeka Copper Gold (MDKA) climbed 80.8%, and Bumi Resources Minerals (BRMS) advanced 21.5%. In contrast, Amman Mineral Internasional (AMMN) slipped 5%.
The surge came as gold prices hit fresh records. Spot gold climbed to $3,570.66 per ounce on Wednesday, Sept 3, 2025, surpassing its previous high of $3,565.57. U.S. gold futures rose 1.15% to $3,634.50, as weaker U.S. labor data bolstered expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts and sustained demand for safe-haven assets.
Analysts now see gold’s short- to medium-term target in the $3,600–$3,800 range, with potential to test $4,000 by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
