JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Hashim Djodjohadikusumo, through his controlled entity PT Investasi Sukses Bersama (ISB), has increased his stake in PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk, or Surge (WIFI), by purchasing additional shares worth Rp32.21 billion ($1.98 million) on Tuesday, Aug 19, 2025.
The company disclosed that ISB acquired 10.73 million shares at Rp3,000 apiece, a premium above the previous day’s trading range of Rp2,660 to Rp2,810. Following the transaction, ISB’s ownership in Surge rose from 54.22% to 54.42%.
ISB explained that the purchase was aimed at strengthening its investment portfolio in Surge. Earlier this month, on Aug 8, 2025, ISB also bought 30.09 million shares, or 0.57% of Surge, at Rp2,880 each, in a transaction worth Rp86.67 billion ($5.33 million). That deal carried the same purpose of enhancing ISB’s direct ownership portfolio.
Hashim controls PT Asrari Sentra Data (ASD), which holds 45% of ISB. Through ISB, Hashim effectively exerts control over Surge, a digital infrastructure and advertising technology company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
Corporate Expansion Moves
Surge, through its subsidiary PT Jaringan Infra Andalan (JIA), recently completed the acquisition of PT Investasi Jaringan Nusantara (IJN) for Rp599.99 million ($36,800). According to a filing with the bourse, Surge Director Shannedy Ong said the purchase agreement was signed on Aug 4 and 5, with IJN shareholders transferring their holdings to JIA.
“This transaction will support the group’s future expansion,” Ong noted in the disclosure.
Strong Financial Performance
The company has delivered robust results in the first half of 2025. Surge posted a 66.2% jump in revenue to Rp513 billion ($31.6 million), compared with Rp309 billion a year earlier. Net profit soared 153.6% to Rp228 billion ($14.0 million) from Rp90 billion in the same period of 2024.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) also surged to Rp399 billion ($24.6 million), almost doubling from Rp206 billion previously. Growth was primarily driven by an increase in fixed broadband subscribers through fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) services and a sharp rise in advertising revenue.
