JAKARTA, investortrust.id — Shipping and logistics company PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (SMDR) will distribute a total cash dividend of Rp180.2 billion (approximately $11 million) from its 2024 net income, with shareholders set to receive a final dividend of Rp9 per share following an earlier interim payout. The final dividend payment—amounting to Rp147.4 billion—will be added to the Rp2 per share interim dividend that was distributed on August 28, 2024, bringing the total per-share payout to Rp11. This distribution represents 23% of the company’s net profit for fiscal year 2024, which stood at US$50.7 million (approximately Rp820 billion). President Director Bani Maulana Mulia explained that the dividend proposal was approved during the 2025 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS), following a comprehensive review of the company’s financial obligations and capital expenditure needs. “We are able to meet our obligations and capital expenditure allocations with sound cash flow,” Bani said in a public presentation on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Net Profit Falls in 2024, Rebounds in Early 2025The company’s net income dropped 32% year-on-year in 2024, in line with a 5% decline in revenue to US$737.4 million. Despite this downturn, performance improved significantly in the first quarter of 2025, with net profit jumping 52% year-on-year to US$15.5 million, and revenue growing 16% to US$181.2 million. SMDR operates across shipping, port services, and integrated logistics, serving both domestic and international routes. It owns and manages cargo handling operations at major and remote ports across Indonesia, and holds long-term concessions to operate container and multipurpose terminals in Jakarta, Palaran, and Patimban. In its logistics division, Samudera Indonesia runs distribution centers, warehouses, container depots, and supporting transport services, strengthening its position as a leading integrated supply chain provider in the region. |
