JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Purnomo Prawiro, controlling shareholder, advisor, and co-founder of PT Blue Bird Tbk, Indonesia's largest listed taxi operator, has increased his stake in the company by purchasing 52.56 million shares worth Rp78.31 billion ($4.9 million), signaling continued confidence in the company's long-term outlook.
According to a disclosure filed with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Prawiro acquired the shares on June 17 at Rp1,490 per share for investment purposes.
Large insider purchases are often viewed as a vote of confidence in a company's future prospects. The transaction comes as Blue Bird continues to deliver record financial performance while maintaining generous shareholder returns through dividends.
The purchase lifted Prawiro's ownership in Blue Bird to 14.18%, up from 12.08%. His total holdings increased from 302.29 million shares to 354.85 million shares.
The acquisition follows shareholder approval of a cash dividend of Rp166 per share, equivalent to a 65.3% payout ratio of 2025 net profit. The dividend is scheduled to be distributed on July 10.
The company said the dividend policy balances shareholder returns with future investment needs and capital strengthening, while the remaining earnings will be retained to fund working capital and business expansion.
Blue Bird's dividend is backed by another year of strong operating performance. In 2025, the company reported record net revenue of Rp5.7 trillion ($358 million), up 13% from the previous year and the highest since its stock market debut.
EBITDA rose 13% to Rp1.4 trillion ($88.1 million), while net profit increased 9% to Rp643 billion ($40.4 million), reflecting resilient demand for mobility services and disciplined cost management.
The combination of insider buying, record earnings, and a high dividend payout reinforces investor confidence as Blue Bird continues expanding beyond its traditional taxi business into broader mobility and transportation services.
