Key Takeaways

JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — PT Sariguna Primatirta Tbk (CLEO), one of Indonesia’s leading homegrown bottled water manufacturers, is charting a aggressive path toward double-digit sales growth in 2026, defying broader global economic uncertainty.
The company is capitalizing on a massive domestic consumption boom, backed by robust macroeconomic data showing Indonesian household consumption grew by 5.61% through April 2026. This resilient demand is fueling a rapid nationwide production expansion and a strategic pivot into high-margin premium products.
For global investors tracking Southeast Asia, CLEO’s aggressive expansion serves as a bellwether for Indonesia’s resilient consumer class. While global markets grapple with inflation and tightening liquidity, the Indonesian bottled water sector is consistently growing at 5% to 8% annually, signaling that local purchasing power remains highly insulated. CLEO's transition into premium hospitality products indicates a maturing consumer market ready for higher-value goods.
Q1 Earnings Surge Signals Strong Momentum
The growth targets follow a powerhouse first-quarter performance where CLEO clocked a 15.8% year-on-year revenue jump, banking Rp774.4 billion ($48.7 million) in sales. Bottom-line momentum kept pace, with consolidated net profit rising 5.2% to Rp122.6 billion ($7.7 million) compared to the same period last year.
Management attributes this steady financial trajectory to broad-based volume growth across all distribution channels and product lines.
In an official statement released on Monday, June 1, 2026, CLEO Chief Executive Officer Melisa Patricia emphasized that strong consumer fundamentals are providing a powerful tailwind for the entire beverage industry.
"We are consistently expanding and innovating, not just to maintain our growth momentum, but to meet the rising domestic demand for bottled water," Patricia stated, detailing the company's outlook. "With these strategic initiatives in place, we are highly optimistic that CLEO will secure double-digit growth this year."
Aggressive Factory Rollout to Meet Nationwide Demand
To lock in this growth trajectory, the bottled water titan is rapidly expanding its industrial infrastructure with three brand-new manufacturing facilities strategically located in Palu, Pontianak, and Pekanbaru.
The Palu facility is scheduled to begin commercial operations in the third quarter of 2026, while the Pontianak and Pekanbaru plants are locked in to go online by the fourth quarter of 2026. These new assets will significantly optimize CLEO's supply chain, slash logistics costs, and deepen its market penetration across Indonesia's outer islands.
Simultaneously, the company is diversifying away from low-margin mass products to capture elite consumer segments. On May 30, 2026, the company officially launched Cleo Platine Water Glass and Cleo Platine Sparkling Water Glass in 750 ml formats. These premium offerings specifically target high-end hotels, luxury restaurants, and boutique cafes, a move expected to significantly boost the company's blended margins through the remainder of the year.
