JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk or NCKL booked a major secondary transaction on Friday, Jan 9, 2026 in Jakarta after Glencore International Investments Ltd sold a 0.33% stake during a recent rally, generating Rp 276.92 billion, a move that underscored sustained investor interest in Indonesia’s nickel downstreaming sector.
The divestment was carried out in stages on the Indonesia Stock Exchange as NCKL shares strengthened in recent weeks.
Glencore first sold 3.28 million shares at Rp 1,129 on Monday, Dec 29, 2025, raising Rp 3.70 billion, followed by 5 million shares at Rp 1,127 on Tuesday, Dec 30, 2025, worth Rp 5.68 billion.
The investor then offloaded 10 million shares at Rp 1,167 on Friday, Jan 2, 2026, booking Rp 11.67 billion.
The largest transactions came on Tuesday, Jan 6, 2026, when 64.23 million shares were sold at Rp 1,288 for Rp 82.73 billion, and later 122.45 million shares at Rp 1,414, generating Rp 173.14 billion.
On the operational front, NCKL posted stronger financial performance through September 2025, with revenue rising to Rp 22.40 trillion from Rp 20.37 trillion a year earlier.
Operating profit increased to Rp 6.39 trillion from Rp 5.80 trillion, while profit for the period climbed to Rp 8 trillion from Rp 6 trillion.
The company continued to expand capacity through construction of its third Rotary Kiln Electric Furnace facility with annual output of 185,000 tons of nickel content in ferronickel.
By October 2025, phase two of the project reached 91% completion, while phase three stood at 44%, strengthening the company’s position in Indonesia’s nickel downstream value chain.
As part of its clean energy transition, NCKL accelerated development of a 40 MWp solar power plant on Obi Island in South Halmahera, North Maluku.
Construction progress reached 38% by October 2025, with panels installed across production facilities and employee housing to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency.
