JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — Two Indonesian real estate professionals have been elected to leadership positions in the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI), enhancing the country's representation in the global industry, the federation said in a statement on Thursday, December 11, 2025.
Rusmin Lawin and M. Rafi Haikal were voted into their roles during the 44th FIABCI Global Leadership Summit in Panama City, Panama, which ran from December 2 to 5, 2025, with elections held on December 5.
Lawin, a veteran in real estate diplomacy and contributor to Indonesia's new capital development, was elected to the FIABCI Elected Board for a three-year term from 2026 to 2029.
He currently serves as president of FIABCI's Asia-Pacific region and has held various international advisory positions.Haikal, an architect with experience in New York and Indonesia, was named second vice president of the Prix d’Excellence Committee for a two-year term from 2026 to 2028.
A graduate of FIABCI Indonesia’s mentorship program, Haikal is expected to bring fresh perspectives to the committee, which recognizes excellence in real estate projects worldwide.The elections underscore Indonesia's growing influence in international real estate networks, potentially fostering stronger cross-border partnerships and investments.
