NEW YORK, Investortrust.id — Indonesia has reaffirmed its role on the global stage as Kadin Indonesia Chairman Anindya Novyan Bakrie attended the Private CEO Roundtable with UAE Leadership on Monday, Sept 22, 2025, in New York.
The gathering, hosted by Badr Jafar, the United Arab Emirates’ Special Envoy for Business and Philanthropy, brought together seven UAE ministers, international business leaders, and academics at The Permanent Mission of the UAE to the United Nations. The discussion focused on food security, energy security, and climate change.
Anindya emphasized that Indonesia’s participation was significant because it bridged government and business interests while underscoring the country’s value as a stable and peaceful partner for global development. He said Kadin represented the private sector, state-owned enterprises, small businesses, and cooperatives.
“We bring the message that Indonesia is a nation with political stability and peace, which serve as the foundation for achieving global food and energy security,” he noted.

He stressed that Indonesia’s rich natural resources, from fertile farmland to key global commodities, position the country as an essential contributor to food security worldwide. “Food security can grow not only for Indonesia, which is the priority, but also for the world,” Anindya said.
Beyond agriculture, Indonesia showcased its vast potential in the energy sector. With abundant mineral reserves and a diverse energy portfolio spanning renewable and fossil sources, Indonesia has the capacity to strengthen global energy security. The roundtable highlighted this potential as a key driver for regional and global stability.
Climate change also featured prominently in the discussions. Anindya explained that Indonesia’s tropical forests, mangroves, and coral reefs make it one of the world’s most important environmental stewards. “We want to ensure that the climate remains stable by safeguarding forests, mangroves, and coral reefs, which are integral to our climate mitigation strategy,” he said.
The event also supported the vision of President Prabowo Subianto, who has raised food, energy, and climate issues in his address to the United Nations General Assembly. Indonesia presented itself as a partner committed to advancing global stability through peaceful politics, sustainable environmental management, and inclusive economic growth.
