Kadin Indonesia Focuses on Consolidation, Economic Growth, and the Real Sector
JAKARTA, investortrust.id - The Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) reported various achievements during its Daily Management Meeting in January. Chairman of Kadin Indonesia, Anindya Bakrie, emphasized that Kadin's work throughout the first month of 2025 showed positive developments, especially in organizational consolidation, international cooperation, and support for the real sector.
According to Anindya, one of the main achievements reported was Kadin's success in conducting internal consolidation through the National Deliberation for Unity Consolidation. "With this step, Kadin is now a more solid single organization and has received official recognition from the government," Anindya said at the Kadin Indonesia Tower, Jakarta, Wednesday, Feb 5, 2025. "This consolidation is expected to strengthen Kadin's position in building synergy between the business world and the government."
Anindya also highlighted the results of Kadin's visit to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland last week. In the prestigious forum, Indonesia and India were the main highlights because the two countries are seen as supporting global economic growth. "Regardless of the various challenges at home, globally Indonesia is recognized as a center of world growth along with India," said the Chairman of Kadin.
Anindya added that the Kadin delegation also made a business visit to India which included various strategic agendas. One significant result was Business Matching in expanding the business network with Indian business actors. In addition, cooperation between Indonesian and Indian capital market associations was also an important achievement. The two countries have great investment potential, with a total capital market value that could reach $1 trillion. This synergy is expected to open up wider investment opportunities for both countries.
Focus on Agriculture and SMEs
During the meeting, the Coordinating General Chair of Kadin also reported developments from various industrial sectors. One of the main focuses is the agricultural sector, where Kadin noted progress in programs to strengthen strategic food commodities such as rice, chili, and corn. "Kadin not only provides policy input to the government, but is also directly involved in strengthening the real sector," explained Anindya.
Meanwhile, the Small, Medium Enterprises, and Cooperatives (SME-C) sector also received special attention. Kadin believes that cooperatives can be a solution in strengthening the people's economy, so that in the future this organization will be more active in supporting the development of cooperatives as a pillar of the national economy.
