PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) successfully hosted the BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) 2025 alongside the BRI Microfinance Outlook 2025 at the International Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City, Tangerang, from Thursday, Jan 30, 2025, to Sunday, Feb 2, 2025, yielding remarkable results.
BRI President Director Sunarso stated that the success of BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) 2025 was evident from key performance metrics that surpassed expectations.

One of the primary indicators of success was the overwhelming turnout of visitors, both domestic and international. By the third day, the expo had attracted 51,710 attendees.
"By the end of the fourth and final day, the total number of visitors reached 63,000," Sunarso noted.
Another key metric was the total transaction value. As of February 1, excluding the final day’s transactions, the event recorded transactions worth IDR 38.9 billion. Including sales from the last day, the total transaction volume exceeded IDR 40 billion.

"These transactions were conducted both in-person via electronic data capture (EDC) machines, QRIS payments, and through e-commerce platforms partnered with BRI," Sunarso explained.
The third indicator of success was the impact of business matching sessions, which facilitated direct meetings between micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and potential buyers to secure business deals. This year, BRI set a target of securing commitments worth approximately $89 million, up from $81 million in the previous year.
"Alhamdulillah, the negotiations are still ongoing, including the latest agreements we have secured. We estimate total contracts and export deals will reach at least USD 90.6 million, or more than IDR 1.5 trillion. These business matching transactions will continue throughout 2025," Sunarso added.
Beyond the event, BRI remains committed to supporting the global expansion of Indonesian MSMEs. In collaboration with the Ministry of Trade, the bank will hold scheduled business matching sessions twice a month as part of the extended BRI UMKM EXPO(RT) 2025 initiative.
