Indonesia and India Forge Stronger Ties to Drive Digital Innovation
JAKARTA, investortrust.id – Indonesia and India have deepened their cooperation in the digital economy sector during the India-Indonesia CEO Forum held on Jan 25, 2025, at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi. The forum brought together business leaders from both nations to forge stronger alliances in digital technology, e-commerce, manufacturing, clean energy, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals.

“Indonesia and India are major economic powers with exceptional digital potential. This forum demonstrates our commitment to becoming key players in global technological development,” said Ismail.
Three Pillars of Cooperation
One of the forum’s notable achievements was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indonesia’s Ministry of Communication and Digital and India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
The MoU emphasizes the development of emerging technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI), to advance innovation in both countries.
It also aims to strengthen public digital infrastructure, including the implementation of digital identity systems, to enhance accessibility and efficiency.
Additionally, the agreement seeks to build a robust digital ecosystem by fostering collaborations among startups, facilitating business-to-business (B2B) partnerships, and advancing IT skills development to support the growing demands of the digital economy.
“This MoU accelerates technological integration between our nations, making us more competitive in the global market,” Ismail stated on Tuesday, Jan 28, 2025.
Raline Rahmat Shah highlighted the potential of this partnership to drive Asia’s digital revolution.
“We must become producers of innovation, not just consumers. Through AI, IoT, and industrial digitization, Indonesia and India can establish themselves as digital powerhouses in Asia,” she remarked.
