JAKARTA, Investortrust.id — A heavyweight coalition of the world's leading asset management firms collectively overseeing trillions of dollars in assets has confirmed participation in the inaugural New Asia Forum (NAF) 2026, set to take place at The Mulia in Bali on Dec. 3–4, 2026.
The high-level gathering marks an ambitious bid by Jakarta to position Indonesia at the core of regional capital formation, as institutional allocators increasingly reweight portfolios toward developing Asian infrastructure, digital connectivity, and clean energy ecosystems. Hosted under the auspices of President Prabowo Subianto and anchored by Indonesia's national investment management agency, the forum aims to catalyze $30 billion in deployable private capital across Southeast Asia and the wider continent.
Institutional Heavyweights Convene in Bali
The roster of confirmed participants features senior executives from the premier tier of global private equity, real estate, and private credit firms. Institutional attendees include BlackRock via Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR), Brookfield Asset Management, Oaktree Capital Management, and Franklin Templeton.
Pahala Nugraha Mansury, Managing Director of Global Relations and Communications at Badan Pengelola Investasi Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara Indonesia), stressed that the summit is designed to shift global engagement beyond preliminary market exploration into binding transactions.
"The presence of leading global investment institutions demonstrates that world investors are paying greater attention to Asia. However, the most important priority is not merely attracting more capital, but establishing the right partnerships so that Asia’s enormous potential can genuinely deliver long-term benefits," Pahala stated in an official release on Wednesday.
Senior institutional decision-makers slated to speak include Will Brilliant, Partner at Global Infrastructure Partners and Head of Digital Infrastructure at BlackRock; David Luboff, Partner, Co-Head of Asia Pacific, and Head of Asia Pacific Infrastructure at KKR; Andrew Burych, Managing Partner and Head of East Asia at Brookfield Real Estate Group; Roger Zhang, Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia at Oaktree; and Manraj S. Sekhon, Chief Investment Officer of Templeton Global Investments at Franklin Templeton.
Multinational corporate leaders from industrial, aviation, and digital sectors will join the sessions, representing firms such as Freeport-McMoRan, Jardine Matheson, AirAsia, Databricks, Archer Aviation, and Honeywell.
Danantara Leverages Regional Capital Platform
The summit is expected to draw more than 1,000 delegates spanning senior government officials, sovereign wealth managers, private equity partners, and corporate executives across more than 40 interactive panel sessions. Political leaders confirming attendance include Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay and former Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, underscoring the forum's strategic diplomatic footprint.
For Danantara Indonesia, which functions as the founding partner of NAF 2026, the assembly provides an international launchpad to fulfill its core mandate of consolidating, managing, and optimizing Indonesian state-owned assets through cross-border co-investment structures.
By engaging sovereign allocators and institutional asset managers directly on home soil, the Indonesian agency aims to originate bankable project pipelines that address structural funding gaps across emerging Asia.
"Through this forum, we want discussions to progress into concrete collaboration and real investment, while reinforcing Indonesia's standing as a trusted global investment partner," Pahala added.
